The above is a screen shot of the Scoring Program for Horse Trials, developed by Steven Symansky and written in Excel. This program will handle scoring from start to finish - from automatically figuring dressage scores and penalty points to figuring time faults to automatically figuring placings (including breaking of ties) and developing results, ready for organizational submission. The program prints dressage scores to go with the tests given to the competitors. Time faults can be figured using elapsed time or time-of-day. The program prints score sheets suitable for event posting and for USEA submission with the final results. The final results are ready for printing the moment the event is over. In a similar fashion, the above screen shot illustrates a portion of the Dressage Scoring Program. This program will automatically figure percentages (to three decimal places) and placings. This program prints score sheets suitable for posting. We normally enlarge and print the score sheets on card stock, making a very nice presentation for dressage shows. And, this program (as the above HT program) creates final results sheets. This program was also developed by Steven Symansky and is written in Excel. 
This screen shot illustrates a portion of the Three Day Scoring Program also developed by Steven Symansky. All these scoring programs integrate with many, if not all, database programs so that original data entry is a quick and easy import. Data entry during the event can usually be done much faster and definately much more accurately than scoring 'by hand'.
